The English teacher in the Bilingual Program is responsible for delivering instruction in English across core subjects: English Language, Math, Science, and Social Studies. The teacher supports students’ academic and language development using a concept-driven and inquiry-based approach aligned with the school’s bilingual vision. With the support of a teaching assistant (TA), the teacher is assigned to two classes, ensuring consistent instructional quality and care.

Main Responsibilities
Preparation and Administration
- Design weekly and daily lesson plans aligned with the bilingual curriculum framework and CEFR-linked English learning goals
- Ensure integration of English with key subject content in Math, Science, and Social Studies using age-appropriate strategies
- Plan collaboratively with the team to ensure vertical alignment and interdisciplinary connections
- Prepare teaching materials and visual aids to support content delivery and language acquisition
- Track student progress through observation, assessment tools, and student portfolios
- Participate in parent meetings and provide regular updates on student progress in both academics and behavior
Teaching
- Participate in weekly or bi-weekly planning meetings and professional development sessions
- Engage in reflective teaching practices and contribute ideas to improve curriculum design and delivery
- Help organize classroom displays, student projects, and learning exhibitions that showcase inquiry-based work
- Support and mentor new teachers and teaching assistant in understanding the bilingual framework and daily classroom routines
- For a committed and capable candidate, this position may gradually evolve into a more progressive role within the bilingual team. This may include supporting coordination tasks at the primary level such as lesson planning follow-up, guidance for new teachers, and ensuring smooth communication across classes.
Collaborative Support for Development
- Actively participate in programs and school meetings, collaborating with Khmer homeroom teachers to ensure smooth implementation across all components of the bilingual program
